Thank You and Farewell

With Death Wish 2015 in the books, jOlt Wrestling comes to an end. This e-fed started with Aaron more than a decade ago and was revived by Dan a few years ago. When Dan stepped away, I opted take the reigns and keep jOlt going.

I've had some great memories here and want to thank Aaron for allowing me to write for you way back in the day in jOlt. I want to thank Dan for taking me back and putting a lot of faith in me for both my writing and for putting the fed on my shoulders when the time needed it. I also wanted to offer my biggest thanks to every single handler that came through jOlt. Whether you stayed until the end or you were here for a cup of coffee in the big time (oh yeah, digi it!) your contributions helped shape jOlt into what it had become.

I wish I could continue to do this, but running an e-fed is a thankless and merciless task. Life only affords me so much time each week and when I'm dedicating the majority of my time to something when I could be spending it not stressing out over life, it becomes a problem. Scaling back from an owner of an e-fed to a simple handler once again is what my desire was and I have made it so with the guilt and regret of ending something that many people enjoyed. It is both a sigh of relief and a deep pain of knowing that a selfish decision affects many others.

It wasn't an overnight decision. I had begun to contemplate this at the beginning of 2015, but kept going because I was afraid of letting everybody down by stepping away, but it came to the point where I had to do it for myself and my own sanity so I could continue to love this hobby instead of growing to loathe and hate it.

I want to thank everyone who has ever read one of our cards and I hope you found enjoyment in them. That was our only goal here in jOlt.. to write the things that we loved to write about and present that to the world. I barely put handcuffs on anyone that came and wrote here and as long as it was within the confines of believability, I let you run with it. I hope that creative freedom shined as the handlers here penned their love for this hobby down upon electronic paper and presented it to you as just that.. a labor of love.

The site will not be taken down. I was informed by Dan that he will keep it alive so it will be here to visit and relive any time you choose to do so. Many of the handlers here will be heading to Legacy of Champions and/or DEFIANCE. I urge you to follow them and continue to support them if you were a fan of their work here in jOlt.

With that being said... thank you once again for reading! It's been a blast, but as the cold truth is often muttered... all good things must one day come to an end. For us, that day has arrived.

-Josh
