Relentless or Nothing
Damien Lee stood at his desk shuffling through his papers when the sound of his door opened and a single knock rapped at it. Lee turned his attention to the door and Aran Thompson had half of his body through the door way and the other half hidden behind the door.
“You need something?” Damien Lee asked Aran.
Aran smiled and nodded his head. The walked into the office and revealed a chair in his hand. Damien Lee looked immediately put off as Aran approached him and put the chair down on the floor while balancing himself against it.
“Actually yes.” Aran began.
“It’s no secret that I’ve challenged for the Relentless Championship after Conspiracy failed to cash in on Sylo at Warriors and now that it’s vacant, you get to make the stipulation. I wanna know what it is.” Aran said as he tapped the chair to the floor and smiled.
Damien took another step backwards and shook his head.
“I haven’t decided yet. There is a matter of your opponent to decide as well.” Lee stammered and Aran didn’t look pleased.
“Look, I’m not trying to bully you or anything. I don’t care who you put in that match at All or Nothing. The fact is, I’m walking out the Relentless Champion....for a third time.”
“So just name the stipulation and let me sell the tickets after that.”
Aran said as he unfolded the chair and slowly sat down. Damien Lee stammered a little more and shook his head.
“I….I….I don’t know. Two out of three falls?” He questioned Aran unsure of his response.
Aran looked impressed and nodded his head.
“That’s why they pay you the big bucks.” Aran stood up, smiled, and patted Damien on the shoulder. “I was thinking Underground rules.”
Aran nodded and turned around.
“I…I wasn’t finished.” Lee said interrupting Aran.
“Two out of three falls, but the only way to score a victory is by pinfall or submission.”
Damien Lee looked impressed with himself and nodded accordingly. Aran snarled a bit but then nodded his head and completely changed his attitude.
“Sorry Damien, all this Backbone…JCON…Jason Rau…this mess has gotten to me.” Aran shook his head slowly and then turned his attention to Damien Lee.
“And thanks to you, I get a chance to get all of them back.”
Aran quickly folded the chair in one fluid motion and then left as Damien watched confused as to what had just transpired.
His phone rings.
