Respect

The scene opened up outside of the Tokyo Dome. Nate Quartermaine sat there on the steps with his hands folded.

"Former college football star... never made it to the big leagues due to an injury. You hear that so often in football. What is an athlete to do after he's been told he can't play anymore? You find something that fuels you. You find something that drives you. You find a new reason to keep going. jOlt Wrestling was that reason for me and for everyone who said I couldn't make it..."

Nate Quartermaine stood up. The camera panned up and showed the Wrestlecade II logo on the Tokyo Dome behind him.

"Take a good look at that.. because in one week.. I will be competing on jOlt Wrestling's biggest stage in one of the most honored and history arenas in not just Japan, but in the entire world. To those who said I would never make it.. take a good, long, hard look. Then go face to face with yourself in a mirror so you can tell yourselves that you were wrong for doubting me."

Quartermaine paused.

"But just because I've made it this far, doesn't mean the journey is over. Every journey has its roadblocks and in seven days, my roadblock is The Draconian. I don't know where he's from or what he's doing here, but here in jOlt.. we have this thing called respect.. and when someone shows you respect, you're supposed to show it back. Draconian didn't do that and, yes, I took it personally."

Quartermaine paused once again.

"Just in case you haven't noticed, I left The Rebellion because I was tired of being disrespected by Jon Le Bon... and now, I'm being disrespected once again. I've come so far on my own that I'm not just going to sit back and idly take that. That is why, next Sunday, I'm going to beat some respect into Draconian.. in a building that is respected.. in front of an audience of people who know nothing except respect."

Quartermaine sat back down on the steps and folded his hands once again.

"This is going to be my moment..."

"I guarantee it."

With that, the scene faded to black.
