Like a Couple of Caged Animals For months since his return Waymoth Turnbull at Rise of Legends has been looking to get his hands on jOlt champion, Aran Thompson, but Aran wanted no part in that. Aran had just found himself a new General in Landon Stevens as he joined Black Faction by laying down at Rise of Legends to secure Thompson’s title reign would remain intact. Aran Thompson did not want to face a fierce Turnbull and knew his new General wouldn’t back down from a fight. At Wired after several altercations Turnbull was finally able to rid himself of Stevens as he pinned him inside the ring after Black Faction tried to get involved only to be pushed off by Turnbull’s friend Cloyd. After the victory Turnbull believed his path had been cleared to get to Aran, but he was greatly mistakened. In an effort to further push Waymoth out of the picture Aran degraded Stevens by calling his efforts as the temporary leader of the faction a failure because he was unable to dismantle the “West Indian Obsidian”. This degrading struck a chord with the protégé or Aran. The following week on iNtense Stevens did something dramatic to regain the attention of Turnbull after he denied “The Rising Star” a rematch over Twitter. Stevens kidnapped Waymoth’s longtime friend Cloyd and savagely beat him. A furious Turnbull ran backstage only to be attacked by Black Faction. On the 89th episode of iNtense Aran informed Stevens that he would indeed get his rematch with Turnbull at Unlimited. Steven’s couldn’t be happier at this moment knowing he has a chance to avenge the one true loss in his time here in jOlt. The cameras faded into an empty Arena of Champions with a man standing inside the ring. The lights were dimmed with a spotlight over the ring. The camera zoomed in to see it was Landon Stevens. Stevens stood in the middle of the ring as he looked up at a cage that hung above him. The cage began to lower around the ring. Dawn Cassidy made her way towards the ring from the top of the entrance ramp. She inched closer as the cage continued to lower. Cassidy entered the ring just before the cage finished lowering. “Welcome Dawn.” Stevens greeted the jOlt interviewer and host of the Dawn Cast as she stepped foot onto the ring canvas. “What’s with the cage?” Landon smiled and laughed . “Last night I received a phone call from Laurie. She informed me that Damien Lee had ordered that the match scheduled to take place between myself and Waymoth would take place inside a steel cage and can only be won by pin fall or submission.” “Did Laurie try and get you out of it?” Cassidy questioned. “Get me out of it? Are you crazy?” Stevens lashed back. “You want to face Waymoth inside a cage? With nowhere to run?” A confused Dawn questioned on who in their right mind would want to face “The West Indian Obsidian” inside a cage. Stevens smiled “You viciously attacked his longtime friend Cloyd and you attacked Turnbull backstage when he tried to come to help Cloyd. You have pissed him off. Are you insane?” “Those with personal revenge on their mind tend to make mistakes. You obviously don’t understand the mechanics of it. I want Turnbull flustered, I want him hell bent on killing me inside that ring. Lock two driven competitors inside a cage and a massacre will ensue. One with a personal vendetta against the other who just wants to make everyone believe in him. That is exactly how I see this match going. It will be like nothing you have ever seen before. I am the underdog and that’s exactly how I want it.” “Not many people strive on being the underdog, nor do they relish on the idea of being locked inside the cage with someone such as Waymoth Turnbull who is hell bent on getting his hands on Aran. What is so different with you and why are you willing to take on such a burden for Aran?” “At Unlimited it isn’t about Aran, not to me nor to Turnbull. I made damn sure all of his attention was on me. It’s me he wants to get his hands on now. Next Sunday I will make everyone a believer.” “Now even though there will be a cage around the ring, do you plan on having Black Faction escort you to the ring and stand ringside for the match?” “I was waiting for you to ask that question. At Unlimited Mace and the West Texas Terrorists will be in the back with Laurie and Aran. This is something I have to do on my own. If any of them come out and get involved there will be hell to pay.” “What if they help you pick up the win?” “Doesn’t matter, if I don’t do this on my own, it means NOTHING!” “I think Waymoth would be very happy to hear that he only has to worry about you out there next Sunday. “ “I’m sure he will be too, but he would clearly be underestimating me.” “I would love to stay and ask you a few more questions Landon, but I am currently pressed for time.” “That is perfectly fine, I have some matters of my own I must attend to.” Cassidy exited the caged ring as Stevens remained walking and looking around.
