A Special DawnCast: Broken; After the Carnage.

Broken NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK ----

Almost one month after the vicious attack by Sylo on Broken to start off the premiere of iNtense, Brock Levant still fights off his injuries at one of New York City’s best hospitals for neurological and spinal trauma; New York-Presbyterian hospital. Each day he grows a little stronger, each surgery only puts him one step back so he can take three more. His primary doctor, Dr. James Duvall, made the following statement: “Brock’s been really strong while going through all this. The man was a jigsaw puzzle when he arrived from Orlando Regional Medical Center. I remember looking at a colleague and I told him this man probably won’t ever walk again, he may possibly never feel anything from the neck down. So to see him smiling, flirting with nurses, and laughing even during the Physical Therapy and knowing the kind of hell he feels, it just makes you admire the man. It reminds everyone that miracles do still exist.”

Since the attack no one from the media, including jOlt, has been allowed in to speak to Brock. Today though he requested to speak to us and the jOlt universe. jOlt’s own Dawn Cassidy sat down with Brock Levant aka Broken for this very special interview:

Dawn Cassidy: “Brock, how are you holding up?”

Brock smiled. He was obviously tired from the meds but he wanted to speak.

Brock Levant: “Oh I’m alive. Sorry I didn’t get a bit more dressed up. If I had known you guys were coming I could have put on my gear, cleaned the place up, and we could have shot an interview like nothing had ever happened.” Brock smiled again and everyone laughed.

Brock Levant: “Honestly I’d like to thank everyone that’s called or wrote. The jOlt fans. The Legacy fans. The guys and gals in the back, the staff, and Damien Lee. You never think you’re worth anything until something major happens and all these people come flooding in.”

Dawn Cassidy:: “So who were you most surprised to see?”

Broken smiled weakly again waving a hand.

Brock Levant: “You wouldn’t believe me.”

Dawn Cassidy: “Try us!”

Broken sighed a little.

Brock Levant:“Okay then. Well they got me into a room. I couldn’t remember much prior to the event. I just remember later that night when I was rolled into my private room someone sat in a chair. The nurses and doctors all seemed to ignore him as he stood up and walked over to me. In the next instance I have the man who I hit with a Hummer and who put me here standing over me. I didn’t know if I should yell, fight, or just pee my fresh nightgown. I looked up at him and he looked back at me but he wasn’t angry. He just said “I’m sorry, you were in my way, I hope you make it through this. You have a ton of talent and you’ve let too many people make you promises that never came through. I hope you come back to jOlt, Levant, and maybe take revenge against me”.

Dawn Cassidy: “So, you’re saying Sylo came right after the show?”

Brock Levant: “Yeah, a lot of people don’t believe me. They think it was all a way to make Sylo look weak so I kept it to myself but I know he’ll probably hear this or read this and I just want him to know that I’m not mad and I don’t want revenge. I want to do what I should have done and said no. I should have built a legacy of holding titles on my own and not catering to the next big guy until they said it was my turn. I wish I could be right there to help Sylo face this war he’s entering and to tell him I’m the one that was sorry. You know it could have been him here, fighting to walk again, not knowing if he’d ever be able to fight another day and that would have been my fault. Instead, he paid me back and I can’t hate the man for that. I let down everyone. My friends. My family. Most of all I let down my fans. I’ll walk again. Doctors said Sylo missed just enough to keep from severing my spine. Sylo doesn’t miss, so in a way, I feel as though he was my wake up call and I owe that man a lot. Until then I’m going to continue to get these last couple of surgeries, hit rehab, and then push it so I can hit the ring as fast as possible. I miss all of you guys in the back and I miss all of you fans week in and week out. I’ll be back soon.”

Dawn Cassidy: “Well Brock, I feel comfortable speaking not only on my behalf but for all of jOlt and the fans when I say we wish you a speedy recovery and can’t wait to see you back in that ring. Now, we’ve taken up enough of your time so we’ll let you rest.”

Dawn smiled as she softly patted Brock’s arm.

Brock Levant: “You sound like the nurses around here, Dawn. Don’t worry, I’ll be back. I’ll be back and better than ever. Count on it.”

The shot ended with a weak wink from Broken.

Brock Levant is scheduled to undergo two more surgeries. One to fix a part of the spine that was dislodged, not broken, and another on his knee. Both surgeries are considered non-invasive and worst case scenario it would take a year to heal from both. Now, that’s not to say Broken is out of the woods yet. Anyone who would like to take up the time to send something to Broken (Cards or just well wishes) please feel free to call the number or write to the address at the bottom of the screen.
